A: We have a collection of Orkney books, Sky TV in the residents lounge (which also has an open fire) and a conservatory leading into the garden.

A: Harray Stores is a general store and off-license with adjoining tearoom ½ mile from Holland House. Fursbreck Pottery is ¼ mile away and the village of Dounby is 3 miles away.

Q: Are there any restaurants or pubs nearby?
A: The Harray Stores offers lunches and high teas and is licensed. It is ½ mile away. The Merkister Hotel (1½ miles) and the Smithfield Hotel in Dounby (3 miles) offer Lunches, and Evening Meals. Both the hotels have public bars.

Q: Are there any petrol stations nearby?
A: The Harray Stores offer petrol only ½ mile away.

Q: Are there facilities for children?
A: We do not have facilities for very young children or babies.

Q: Is Holland House suitable for a person with disabilities?
A: Unfortunately, Holland House is an old house and there are steps leading into it. All rooms are upstairs and would be unsuitable for a person with a wheelchair.

Q: Can my dog stay at Holland House?
A: Only guide dogs are permitted at Holland House.

Q: Can I smoke in Holland House?
A: No.

Q: Can we stay at Holland House in the winter as well as the summer?
A: Yes. Though we are closed over Christmas and New Year.

Q: Can we stay for 1 night only?
A: We do not normally make bookings for less than two nights.
